Major Jason Tuckett

Major Jason Tuckett from Hamilton, Ontario joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1994 under the Regular Officer Training Program receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography at the University of Calgary.

He received his military wings in 2001 and was posted to 408 Tactical Helicopter Squadron in Edmonton, Alberta to fly the CH-146 Griffon helicopter. While posted to 408 Squadron, he was deployed on numerous international and domestic operations, including United Nations peacekeeping with Operation Palladium in Bosnia-Herzegovina and in support of combat operations in Kandahar, Afghanistan flying the CU-161 Sperwer Unmanned Aerial Vehicle in support of Operation Athena.

In 2007, Major Tuckett was posted to 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (CFFTS) 15 Wing Moose Jaw where he instructed on both the CT-156 Harvard II and CT-155 Hawk attaining an A1 and A2 instructional category respectively. While at 2 CFFTS, Major Tuckett held several positions including Flight Commander, Operations Officer and Chief Flying Instructor.

Major Tuckett joined the Canadian Forces Snowbirds in 2016 and brings over 4,300 hours of military flying experience to the team. He flies the number 3 jet in the Inner Left Wing position.
