Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Greg Fleet

Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) Greg Fleet joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1986 as an Instrument Electrical Technician.  Upon completion of Basic Training in Canadian Forces base Cornwallis, he underwent trades training in Canadian Forces School of Communications and Electronics and Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering.  In 1987, he was posted to 407 Long Range Patrol Squadron, where he worked on CP-140 Auroras. In 1999 he began a new posting at Canadian Forces base (CFB) Greenwood with 404 Squadron as an instructor in the Flight Systems cell. In 2000 he was posted to the 14 Air Maintenance Squadron and worked in periodic maintenance, engine bay and he also held the position of senior run up check out supervisor. In 2004 he was posted as a Warrant Officer (WO) to 407 Squadron once again, and held the positions of Crew Chief, Aircraft Maintenance Control and Repair Office and Employment Training Officer. During this period he deployed to Operation (Op) Sharp Guard and Op Apollo.

After a few years of working on the CP-140 Aurora  he was reassigned as a Master Warrant Officer to 1 Canadian Air Division and held the position of Maritime Tactical 2-2 and later the position Tactical Air Control 2-2. During his time spent in Winnipeg he deployed to Afghanistan to augment the Air Wing Flight Safety section. 

In 2011, he was selected for the year long Second Language course and at the completion of the course he was posted to 417 Combat Support Squadron as the Squadron WO. After receiving his promotion to CWO in 2013, he was posted to 1 Air Maintenance Squadron as the Squadron CWO. In 2016 CWO Fleet was posted to 431 Air Demonstration Squadron in the position of Squadron CWO.
