Captain Robbie Hindle

Captain Robbie Hindle from Midland, Ontario joined the Canadian Armed Forces Forces in 2005, as an Air Combat Systems Officer (ACSO) under the Regular Officer Training Plan. He graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology and earned his ACSO wings the following year.

In 2008 he was posted to 414 Squadron in Ottawa, Ontario flying as an Electronic Warfare Officer on the Dassault/Dornier Alpha Jet. This was followed in 2012 by a posting to 405 Squadron in Greenwood, Nova Scotia flying as a crew member onboard CP-140 Aurora before switching to the pilot trade in 2013.

After earning his wings on the CT-156 Harvard II in 2015 and subsequent training on the CT-155 Hawk, Captain Hindle was posted to 2 Canadian Forces Flying Training School (2 CFFTS) in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan as a Flying Instructor on the CT-156 Harvard II. 

Captain Hindle joined the Snowbirds in 2018 and brings over 1,700 hours of military flying experience to the team. He flies as Snowbird 11 in the Advance and Safety Pilot position.
