St. Valentine’s Day, February 14, is a day to spend time with our loved ones, to treat them to romantic dinners or walks on the beach. It’s a day when even the most unromantic among us are moved to buy our special someone a gift or a card, a token of our affection and, most importantly, to spend time with her or him.

For Royal Canadian Air Force members—indeed, for all Canadian Armed Forces members—Valentine’s Day is often spent anywhere but with loved ones. On deployment. On training. On a different continent.
